IOR- Unit 5 Script

Here's my script for my animation, its a little different from the last unit's script in that it's more a camera directing script, because there is no dialogue and as such is formatted differently.

The Bilious Cuckoo Script 01

Funny animations

I found this animation and thought it was quite funny, its nicely thought out and has a good soundtrack (plus there was nipples!)

Unit 5- Rough Story

OKay so I'm struggling a little with how to make my cuckoo clock a bilios one but heres where I am so far:

The cuckoo clock's original, fake bird has fallen out and seeing as he is nailed to a wall he can't retrieve it. There is an open window, through which a little bird comes flapping in. The clock snatches the bird out of the air and stuffs it in himself. However, as the hour ticks nearer the clock starts feeling a little unwell and gets progresively worse the nearer it gets to 12:00. As the clock hits midday he starts to heave and tries to supress the inevitable regurgitation of the bird which comes out chirping and zooms out of the window

Unit 5 - Animation Timeline [WIP]

This site has a pretty exhaustive timeline: http://www.filmsite.org/animatedfilms.html

James Stuart Blackton is often referred to as the father of American animation with his stop motion animation Humourous Phases of Funny Faces in 1906.

The dawn of traditional animation began in 1914 with Windsor McCay who produced 'Getie the Dinosaur'. Although not the 'first' animation, it is the first to feature a character with an appealing personality.

"The little-known but pioneering, oldest-surviving feature-length animated film that can be verified (with silhouette animation techniques and color tinting) was released by German film-maker and avante-garde artist Lotte Reiniger, The Adventures of Prince Achmed (aka Die Abenteuer des Prinzen Achmed) (1926, Germ.)" (Dirks, date unknown).

Unt 5- Animation

-New Project-

Yesterday I pulled out of the lucky blue box (and his friend, Madame Baggé) the following object:

The Bilious Cuckoo-Clock

I was a little unsure of the word Bilios, it's the first time I've ever stumbled across it. After Phil's explanation I also looked it up and it basically means either: Someone who is bad tempered OR Someone who is nauseous (full of bile).

Dictionary Entry from Google
bil·ious Adjective /ˈbilyəs/
adjective: biliary, choleric

Affected by or associated with nausea or vomiting
I had eaten something that didn't agree with me and I was a little bilious
(of a color) Lurid or sickly
a bilious olive hue
Spiteful; bad-tempered
outbursts of bilious misogyny
Of or relating to bile

I'm busy trying to get some ideas down on this one; a sickly cuckoo-clock
or a bad tempered cuckoo-clock
